Tuesday Morning

One of the most engaging projects during my Master's was to develop a strategic proposal for Tuesday Morning. In doing so, we discovered two areas in which Tuesday Morning could improve their operations substantially - logistics and marketing.

For logistics, we utilized my GIS skills to analyze the geographic effectiveness of their current distribution centers and suggest a third be built in Atlanta, Georgia. Our proposal detailed a 5-year plan to phase in this new distribution center while downsizing the Dallas distribution center naturally through attrition. At the end of the 5-year plan, saving an estimated year-to-year savings of $23,993,871. A total of 199,849 miles would be saved every year compared to existing logistics.

For marketing, we developed a plan to establish a Loyalty Program, implement a Social Media Calendar, optimize social media channels with a focus on Facebook, establish targeted advertisements, and and incremental revamping of stores based on current real estate strategy.

Apache Casino Hotel

Effective marketing is essential for a business. During MKTG 5513, we were able work directly with the Apache Casino Hotel to develop a business strategy. To aid in accomplishing this goal, I established a Client Overview to myself and my team up to speed before meeting with our client.

We established our target audience, Pain Points, USP, Buyer Persona, SWOT Analysis, Brand Positioning, Messaging and Communications, Marketing Tactics, Time Table, and established our Metrics.

In total, we established 20 Marketing Tactics; establishing objectives, pricing specials, promotion plans, and projected revenue for each and scheduled these events over a 90-day period.

Tactical Force Training

At the beginning of my journey into the business realm, I was tasked with establishing a viable business plan. My group and I established Tactical Force Training, LLC. This startup specialized in self-defense/firearms training utilizing a mixed-use training facility. Current competitors mostly focused on static training utilizing traditional ranges which limits the effectiveness of training to simulate dynamic, real-world scenarios. TFT's plan was to utilize non-lethal weapons to offer dynamic training more akin to real-life situations. In conjunction to this training, TFT planned to leverage the training area during the weekends for paintball/airsoft use for increased revenue.
