Custom Designs & 3D Printing

From turning my personal brand logo into a challenge coin to creating dog-tag covers for a coworker, I enjoy what I do! Designing, especially within Solidworks, has become a passion of mine that will never be lost. Since buying my first 3D printer in 2019, my passion has only become stronger! I can now see my designs into physical form through the use of my FDM or SLA printers when before I was limited to conceptualizing my design in my dad's wood shop.

NASA Moonbuggy Competition

One of the greatest learning opportunities while working towards my undergraduate degree in Engineering Design Technology was NASA's Great Moonbuggy Race. The purpose of this competition is to challenge students to design, build, and race human-powered, collapsible vehicles over simulated lunar terrain. In 2009, I first sunk my teeth into this competition; taking the previous team's moonbuggy and bringing it back from the dead. After that, I was hooked and went on to design my own buggy from scratch.

UE Manufacturing

For two years, I called UEM my professional home with a great engineering group until volatility in the oil & gas market, mixed with the 2020 global Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, resulted in a mass layoff. Although sorry to see my time here cut short, I am looking forward to a greater opportunity where I can fully leverage my broad set of skills.

Wilco Machine & Fab

Wilco Machine & Fab., now part of National Oilwell Varco, is where I began my professional career in engineering and began my Solidworks journey to become a Certified Solidworks Professional. In addition, I was given the opportunity to serve as the engineering project lead for the Wilco / Quickthree Solutions Portable Sand Silo & Transport Trailer projects. These projects expanded my duties as a Mechanical Designer to project manager, trainer, and on-site support technician.
